Welcome to the Story Bound Society for Kids, a book subscription for every stage of a reader’s journey!  Our subscription selections grow along with your child to help deepen a love of reading and spur on imagination and curiosity at every level. 


What’s included in a box? 

Each Storybound Society box includes a  new book or books each month (depending on your selected box) and a note from our staff on why the book was selected for you! 

How often will the subscriptions mail out?Boxes are shipped out after the 7th each month! In order to receive a box, you must be signed up for it by the 6th of the current month. Subscriptions renew on the 17th of every month. For example, to receive the November Box, you must sign up between October 18th-November 6th. Any orders made November 7th- December 17th will be eligible for the December Box, and so on.

Who is curating this book subscription?The Fabled bookselling managers and book buyers. 

Will my subscription renew automatically? Yes. If you do not cancel your subscription before the 11th of every month, your subscription will continue to renew automatically. 

What if I want to cancel my subscription? You are able to cancel your Storybound Society subscription any time, but it must be before the closing date (the 11th) for that month’s box.  If you have purchased a one-time gift, it will not renew. Any shipments that have already been paid for will still ship as scheduled, but future renewals will not take place. If you'd just like one box, we'd recommend signing up for the monthly subscription and cancelling before the first renewal.

How do I purchase a gift subscription for someone else?On the checkout page, you'll see an option to check off the box for "This is a gift". Here, you can enter the gift recipient's full name, recipient's email address, and a personalized gift message. You can also select if you want the subscription to renew or not. 

Can I subscribe to more than one character? Yes. However, if you would like multiple orders to be shipped separately, you will need to place separate orders. Another way to receive books from more than one character is to subscribe to the Everyman subscription box, which allows you to receive a book from each category.

What if I want to change my delivery address or contact information?You can change anything about your subscription by logging in your account. 

What if I want to change my subscription to another one?  If you want to change your subscription to a different character type, you can cancel your current subscription and subscribe again, choosing the new character type. 

When can I expect my subscription to arrive? Subscription boxes will arrive after the beginning of the following month. 

What if I don’t like the book selection and/or already have it? Unfortunately, we will not be accepting returns if you already have the book/don’t like the book selection. If this occurs, pass the book to a friend in need of their next read!  

What about contact/trigger warnings? Every book is chosen with the most sensitive readers in mind, and we are hopeful that you will be delighted in every selection. *If you are concerned about this matter, however, we suggest a one-time Booklover Box, which will allow you to screen the books before they are sent. 

Are you going to offer other genres in the future? Not at this time, but if you would a personalized box, feel free to check out our Booklover box.
